"Us",Play Ball Photos, is really one photographer, Paul Alesse who has been involved in Little League Baseball for over 25 years serving as East Region and Little League World Series scorer, statistician, game reporter and now Official Photographer for the East Regional Tournament. Paul's ties with the Eastern Region also include working as the Baseball Camp Director during the summers of 1995-2002. Paul Alesse resides in Centereach, NY. He is the current JV Coach at Smithtown East HS and is the former President of RBI Baseball Academy in Setauket where he gave private hitting and pitching instruction to players of all ages. He has served as Coach, Batting Instructor, and Field Instructor throughout camps on the eastern coast including Whitey Ford's Grand Slam, Doyle Academy, Bucky Dent's Baseball School in Florida, and Long Island Baseball Academy in New York.

Paul discovered the world of digital photography two years ago. His background in baseball and youth sports allowed him to merge his two passions... sports and photography. His images have served as the benchmark for "youth sports action" and he has quickly emerged as the premier baseball photographer for Little League Baseball Inc. His images of the Little League East Region Tournament and Little League World Series have set the standard among youth baseball action photos. He is a staff photographer for LISPN, shooting several sporting events throughout Long Island, and is currently a member of SportsShooter Online Paul uses a Canon 1D Mark II digital SLR, capable of shooting 8 frames per second and considered the best digital sport camera on the market today. Lenses used in the tournaments he shoots include a Canon EF 200mm f/1.8L USM Autofocus Lens, a Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L IS Image Stabilizer USM Autofocus Lens, a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS Image Stabilizer USM Autofocus Lens, and a Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 EX APO IF HSM. For sports portraits and team photos, he uses a Canon EF 135mm f/2.0L USM Autofocus Lens and a Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L USM Autofocus Lens. Mr. Alesse launched Play Ball Photos in the spring of 2005 and has traveled extensively throughout the East Coast shooting baseball as well as a variety of other sports. He holds a M.A. in Education from Stony Brook University and when not behind the glass, he teaches 6th grade English and Science in Smithtown, NY.
